Floating Down to Camelot

Floating Down to Camelot

Floating Down to Camelot.

It’s 1977 and things are looking up for Prof. Julian Chapel! He has a new exhibition and, possibly, a new boyfriend. But scandal erupts when the Dean believes a homoerotic painting is actually a portrait of Roberto, one of Julian’s graduate students. Before Julian can decide what to do, the painting mysteriously disappears.

Floating Down to Camelot is about love, art, and finding allies in unlikely places.

“The play has a lot of heartfelt moments... Steven J. Satta has an excellent handle on how to write quippy dialogue...”

- Mandy Gunther, Theatre Bloom

“His (Steven Zhu) scene with Kamberger’s David was incredibly slick and exceptionally well delivered… And Zhu really struck a balance with his more emotionally sober moments and his heightened over-the-top ones.”
